Why share IT up?

“For it is in giving that we receive.” - one holy person

"Share IT up"  is an idea that is based on giving up your excessive, old, out dated or devalued (emotionally or monetarily) products/possessions to those who have less.

Consumer products today are being produced at an exponential rate just to meet our exponential demand. We buy new products spontaneously, without always having the dire need for a new one.  Yet there are individuals who do not even posses a quarter of our daily imperative products.

Consumer durable products in our warm well lit homes sit for years in a corner or a closet after being replaced by new and or advanced versions. These consumer electronics and other durable goods have a life expectancy far beyond their term of warranty.  When we do stumble upon them we can't imagine giving up the new shiny version for that ancient relic that stares back at you. But, this relic that once used to be your toaster, computer, mobile phone or your favorite pair of jeans can give someone the same amount of joy that it gave you the first time you received it.

Our wants exceed our needs so why not share our excess with those who need?
